Engineered Stone

Engineered Stone is a man made rework of natural quartz bound together with a small percentage of resin to create a much larger variety of colours than is available in natural stones. Often the sheets contain additives such as mirror, glass or shell to enhance the visual impact and to create that point of difference.

A combination of style, strength, durability and practicality makes Engineered Stone an increasingly popular choice for those looking to make a statement anywhere in the home or on a commercial project.

Contour Surfaces Engineered Stone benchtops come with our 10 year warranty.

Joins

Engineered Stones are typically constructed using a vee join 1-2mm wide on all changes of direction. The joins are colour tinted to blend in with the sheet colour and are easy to keep clean.

Edge Profiles

The majority of engineered stone which we use is sold as a 20mm slab. The edge can be finished at 20mm providing a particularly cost effective option. If you require edges greater than 20mm they can be mitred as per the table below with top and bottom edges using a 3mm radius.
